
Pareidolia is the tendency to perceive a specific, meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern, showcasing the human ability to see shapes or create pictures out of randomness. This intriguing phenomenon is often explored in pareidolia art, which transforms these visual phenomena into captivating works that enhance the immersive art experience. Although the scientific term was coined in English in 1962, the concept has been utilized for thousands of years.

This immersive art experience utilizes the psychological phenomenon of pareidolia to awaken within ourselves the tendency to experience the divine through sublime visual connections. Through this vehicle, we enter another dimension. The subject material includes the Hindu Vedic deities Shiva, Parvati, Brahma, Vishnu, additional avatars, and ancient symbols. Let these elements serve as a mirror to observe a glimpse of your divinity and non-duality while engaging with this unique pareidolia art.

Whether consciously or unconsciously aware, our brains are wired to find meaning at first glance. In this immersive art experience, the brushstrokes and various objects may appear chaotic, yet our minds are determined to create meaning out of chaos. Artist statement. I began using the pareidolia art images I saw in my canvas back in 2017. At that time, I was unaware that other artists were also exploring this technique. The two labels that closely align with my work are 'Abstract Extraction-ists,' a term that emerged in 2005, and 'Surrealistic Automatism,' coined in the 1920s.
